No. 1231 Let’s Make Utmost Efforts for General Election!
The current general election is contending for alternation of the government, balloting October 31. Reportedly, the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) may gain solely the majority. We have some time left for changing the government. Let’s put an end to the rule of the coalition of the LDP and the Komeito.
LET’S MAKE UTMOST EFFORTS UNTIL FINAL DAY OF CAMPAIGN!
The general election is a right chance to bring down the coalition administration which has indulged in corruptions and abused authoritarian power. It is now the final stage of election campaign.
A focus lies in whether we could correct nation’s politics; to let continue the coalition rule which has deprived hopes of young generations, expanded social gaps and spread poverty to erode the society, or to build up a base to convert state’s politics so that it should put constitutional principles into practice.
The Abe-Suga’s administrations have had almost nine years of life, during which they enacted laws, the so-called, unconstitutional, war legislation, re-operated nuclear power stations, produced the money scandals of Mori-Kakei schools by misusing power, and invited followers to cherry-blossom parties. The governments enforce to build a military base for US against the will of Okinawa’s residents as well as the local government, in which big businesses enjoy profits.
Under the circumstances public services have sunk down along with the surging rates of consumption tax, the number of irregular workers has climbed and workers have lost decent living standards and civil rights. People shout for freeing themselves from the hardship and wish a fundamental change of the Abe-Suga politics.
Kishida, a follower of Abe-Suga line
The ruling LDP elected recently Mr. Kishida Fumio as its president. He says the general election is ‘to select the future’, advocating ‘a change from neo-liberalism’ and proposing ‘new capitalism’. He pretends to differentiate himself from the previous leaders.
But the facts show; Mr. Kishida had presented ‘a new plan to double incomes’, but it has gone. He took back a policy to impose taxes on the financial incomes. His policy speech implies the so-called Abenomics economic policy eloquently; the three major poles of drastic financial reforms, a dynamic fiscal policy and encouragement of a growth strategy.
His ‘new capitalism’ represents spending tax money on the new industry fields and on developing human resources, enhancing transfer of labor force, digitalizing the society to control over people and networking for containing China.
The New Socialist Party (NSP) criticizes the Kishida government as an entity which covers its intentions but reveals its truths behind. It is high time to finish the LDP-Komeito alliance which has maltreated people.
Let’s build up Third Pole to defend Constitution!
The four opposition parties have concluded an agreement on policy cooperation for the current election campaigns; the Constitutional Democratic Party (CDP), the Communist Party, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the Reiwa. Candidates are arranged and integrated in many of the small constituencies. The NSP and the Greens take part actively in the joint struggles in many of the local communities.
Elections are scheduled; next summer for the House of Councilors and in 2023 for local assemblies. Another general election for the House of Representatives may be held, consecutively. If politics cannot eliminate inequality and uneasiness for the future, it must end. People wish politics that relies on the constitutional principles.
The NSP has reached an accord with the Social Democratic Party for the current general election: we support the SDP in the proportional representation channel. A third pole of pro-constitution must survive. The current general election is a path leading to the next round of election for the House of Councilors in 2022.
腐敗・強権の自公政権を倒す絶好の機会である総選挙は、最終盤に入った。
この選挙で問われているのは、若者の未来を奪い、格差と貧困を拡大し、社会を荒廃・劣化させてきた自公政権を続けさせるのか、それとも憲法の理念に立つ政治へ転換に向かう橋頭保を築くことができるかどうかだ。
特に９年近く及んだ安倍・菅政権は戦争法などの違憲立法を強行、原発再稼働も強行、森友・加計・桜疑惑など政治の私物化、地方自治と民意を踏みにじる辺野古新基地建設をごり押しし、大企業に利益を集中させた。
一方で社会保障の後退と消費税増税、非正規労働の拡大・ まん延と、働く者の生活と権利を奪い続けた。この安倍・菅悪政から根本的に脱却・転換させることが国民の声である。
安倍・菅政治継承
岸田文雄新首相は、総選挙を「未来選択選挙」と位置付ける。「新自由主義からの転換」「新しい資本主義」を唱え、安倍 ・菅政治からの転換を図るように装う。
しかし、岸田氏が打ち上げた「令和版所得倍増計画」等は消え、金融所得課税もすぐに引っ込めた。所信表明演説の「大胆な金融政策」「機動的な財政政策」「成長戦略の推進」は、アベノミクス「三本の矢」そのものだ。
新しい資本主義の正体は、新産業分野と人材育成への税金投入、労働力移動の促進、デジタル化と国民管理、対中国包囲網の形成である。
新社会党は岸田政権を「頭(顔)隠して尻(腐敗)隠せず」と批判してきた。国民を愚弄する自公を、今度こそ退場させなければならない。
護憲の三極構築を
今回の総選挙は「立民・共産・社民 ・れいわ」の国政政党が政策協定を結び、これまでになく小選挙区での候補者調整・一本化が進み、地方でも新社会党や緑の党等も参加した共同も進んだ。
来夏は参院選、23年に統一自治体選、続いて衆院選も取り沙汰される。不平等・将来不安を払拭できない政治は退場させるしかない。国民は憲法の理念に立つ政治を求めている。
新社会党は社民党と総選挙政策協定を結び、比例は社民党を応援している。護憲の三極の芽を消してはならないからだ。今次総選挙は、来年の参院選へと続く闘いである。最後まで全力を尽くそう。
